EQUIPMENT STATUS
Echolink is running and doing well, the 145.450 Repeater is also doing ok, the 444.450 + with 107.2 tones W5GSU call sign, is on hold at this time more info as it become available.
GOOD NEWS
The Southern University Amateur Radio Club (KD5ZUP) has been certified as an Affiliate of ARRL a charter party celebrating the event was given in the Student Union Building on the campus of Southern University Baton Rouge, LA.  Friends, club members and guest was present.

NOTICE
The club net is every Wednesday at 7:00pm on the W5TQA's Repeater, 145.450-, Club meetings will be at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library, Scotlandville Branch, 7373 Scenic Highway, time and date will be Announced.

The guys on 3908 have a new net it is called, The BuffaloSoldier's Net, it is held on Monday, Friday and Saturday at 8:00 pm, so tune in and join in on the fun!
Club meeting of the Capital area OMIK club will be at the Scotlandville Library on Scenic highway,  6:00 pm ... dates will be announced, see you there!
MILESTONE
Wow, our club The Capital Area OMIK Association, Inc. have reached a milestone in our existance, we have been a club for 17 year as of Ausgust 2008. We wish to Thank of all you that have supported us for all these years,  you deserve a standing ovation....go team!
